Stardust is a filly created from a strange magical artifact that the "Children of the Night" found. It absorbed some of their energy, scanning their DNA. It used the DNA to create this filly who is a combination of all three. (They decided to give "dust" as the last part of her name because Moondust was the one who accidently activated the artifact.) Moonshine See More took it upon herself to take care of Stardust since she is the mare of the group.
