Urgh, whenever I'm nervous, I start to tap my fingers (on whatever surface there is) according to my recently practised piece! Like...and I didn't even KNOW that before SOMEBODY (aka CELINE) KINDLY informed me. And my left hand is ALWAYS shaped in a weird way (most likely an OK sign, dunno why, don't ask) whenever I get really focused during a fencing match. UGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!
Just relax. Maybe have some herbal tea and whenever you feel like tapping , hold on to something else. But if still It doesn't help , don't get stressed and good luck for contest tho!
