Okay, people really need to calm the frick down about Ash losing the Kalos League. Sure, we fans wanted him to actually win this time but you know once he does win than that would be it for the series or possibility of replacing Ash.
The possibilities of Ash winning we're pretty close, I mean he actually made to the finals but even if having an advantage with Greninja against Charizard people don't realize is Alain and Charizard have gotten pretty far together in defeating many See More challengers becoming stronger at hand.
With such strength, Charizard was alot more stronger than Greninja therefore gave Alain victory. In addition even if Ash lost, it doesn't really matter the creators intended for this to happen but this time actually allowing Ash to make it to the finals so second place isn't bad. The creators wanted to have Ash appear within the newest region, Alola where the newest Pokemon maybe revealed and possible chances of old characters coming back maybe even other ways for Ash to actually win something for a change but who knows.
